In the amount of €8162, this donation will support the association in its efforts to improve Célia’s daily life. Affected by a rare illness that causes significant psychomotor handicaps, Célia needs special equipment adapted to her condition. The charity also sets aside an average of 20% of its funds to finance special equipment for schools and families with disabled children.

ALD Automotive, a company committed to CSR

ALD Automotive’s CSR commitment is long-standing. Its motivation comes from within the management team itself.  Dominique Roger, CEO of the company, believes that CSR is a pillar and a valuable asset for the company. Shared by the majority of the company’s employees, it is also the fruit of their collective action. Each employee can decide how they want to be involved; there are no obligations. And it works! Every year, employees choose the association they would like to sponsor the following year.

In 2014

We supported the Fondation Kriibskrank Kanner, which helps children with cancer, with a €4082 donation.

In 2015

The association Chiens Guides d’Aveugles (guide dogs for the blind) received a cheque in the amount of €4610.

In 2016

The association Médecins du Monde Luxembourg received a donation in the amount of €5492, raised solely via the benefit party.

In 2017

Ensemble pour Célia was the sponsored association. All the fundraising initiatives carried out last year allowed us to make a donation of €8162.

ALD Automotive consolidates its efforts to support an association

Since 2016, ALD Automotive has consolidated its efforts to support a single charity each year. In addition to organising a benefit party, the company carries out other actions to support the association selected as the year’s beneficiary.

Last November, ALD Automotive brought its clients and partners together for its annual benefit party to support Ensemble pour Célia. The company also led a range of initiatives to raise funds throughout the year. The total raised by all these efforts allowed us to make a donation of €8162.

The association for 2018: SOS Faim Luxembourg

ALD Automotive is eager to relaunch the programme in 2018. The organisation selected by employees to receive the funds raised this year is SOS Faim Luxembourg.

Created in 1993, the association works to support sustainable agriculture with the aim of guaranteeing food sovereignty everywhere and for all. Their efforts benefit many African countries and also include awareness-raising and education initiatives in Luxembourg.
