The ‘Made in Luxembourg’ label has been a registered trade mark since 1984 founded on the initiative of Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Trades. It allows to distinguish the Luxembourg origin of our company’s products and services!

ALD Automotive : History of a leasing company certified “Made in Luxembourg”

Operating for more than 33 years in Luxembourg, ALD Automotive has always prioritised delivering 100% local service as part of its business strategy, organised around three areas of activity: long-term leasing or operational car leasing, short- and medium-term car rental (ALD Rent) and the sale of used cars (ALD Carmarket).

In 2005, ALD Automotive launched its EasyDriving service to its customers, a Luxembourg proximity service dedicated to supporting customers and drivers throughout the term of the lease. Later, in 2010, the company, now a leader in the operational leasing market, inaugurated the first Luxembourg Logistics centre dedicated to the leasing business in Capellen: ALD Car Centre. This centre, grouping all short-term rental and used car sales in the same location, is the first of its kind in Luxembourg.

A local approach

This local approach is also based on local decision-making by a management team that is physically present in Luxembourg. The 12500 leasing contracts are managed by 85 employees spread over two corporate locations with all departments based in Luxembourg: Human Resources, Accounting and now the Finance Division with a new Chief Financial Officer, Tachfine Bekkari, who has arrived to enhance this local team.

The “Made in Luxembourg” label rounds out the list of certifications won by the company: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award, renewed regularly since 2011, recipient of the Luxembourg Movement for Quality and Excellence Award in 2015 and recognised as a one of Luxembourg Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work® in 2017.
