ALD Automotive is launching its new ALD VAN product, can you tell us more about its development?

In the context of commercial vehicles leasing, we have developed new services adapted to the use of these very specific vehicles.

The idea of creating a product dedicated to commercial vehicles came to us thanks to the feedback we received from some of our “VAN” customers. Their comments were similar: “We do not find on the market a product adapted to our needs, the current offers are too standardized. We would like utility leasing to be tailor-made.”

Then we invited our customers to come and discuss it in a workshop. Having already reflected on what ALD Van should be, we wanted to validate our hypotheses with them. We brought them together so that they can answer these questions; what would be the ideal commercial vehicles leasing product for you? How should it be designed, and what should it offer? After discussing these various issues, it turns out that our hypotheses were confirmed and even completed by new suggestions. We can say that it is a product co-created with our customers.

We wanted that this product provide to our customers more flexibility with a tailor-made contract, more advice with assistance in vehicle selection, more confidence by offering an all-in return adapted to their needs, more outsourcing in fleet management, but also more mobility by reducing vehicle downtime.

In fact, what did you put in place?

With the help of our experts, customers can choose a leasing contract adapted to their budget and professional activity from a complete range of products and services. Because the use of commercial vehicles is totally different from private vehicles, we have created specific services.

First of all, rental damage are included, there are no unpleasant surprises when returning the property. Thanks to our all-in return contract, normal damage or damage that causes a loss of value on the vehicle are covered by ALD Automotive.

Then, with the “single point of service”, we made sure to simplify the client’s life by centralizing all interventions. Whether it is maintenance, bodywork, changing summer/winter tires or glazing everything will be done in the same place. In the case of immobilization of the vehicle, the customer benefits from a similar replacement vehicle with a identical deductible to the main vehicle.

It is also important to offer content insurance that insures both the goods and the equipment transported. The customer is thus covered in the case of accident, theft or vandalism. ALD VAN differs by adding this option, which is often left to the customer.

Last but not least, ALD Automotive takes care of flocking and removal. Lettering on commercial vehicles is essential for customer visibility. We are aware of this, which is why we also offer it as an option.

Thanks to these different services, we come up with a tailor-made approach adapted to the needs of each of our clients. A construction company or a craftsman do not have the same requirements. This is why everyone must be able to customize their leasing contract with the different options. Nevertheless, for an easy budgeting and to guarantee its mobility, choosing the options all-in restitution, flocking/removal and replacement vehicle are, in my opinion, essential in the context of a utility leasing.
